Pyramid

Memory awakened

The desert is not dead

The dust never settles

Its alive with energy

I took a voyage of kind

To a foreign place familiar

I could taste the past

Civilization held wisdom

We contain in museums

We lock it behind glass

Climb its stone stairs

Plunder its tombs

Searching for the code

But the tomb is already empty

Dusty nothingness

Yet, we are compelled

To enter the narrow passage

And stare at the dark space

Deep in the ground

Staring

Feeling

Strangely fulfilled
