A stranger in a strange land

No one recognizes me

But I know this place

It's not just a picture in a book

The sounds of this place

Not just background noise

But

A song that makes my heart beat

Faster

There's a man there too

I met on the street

Who looks like an Egyptian prince

I thought him a link

To the wisdom of ages past

But all he really wanted 

A decent place to live

Peace on Earth 

Is that ever too much to ask?
